California Privacy Notice

Effective date: June 4, 2026

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”). The Disability Office is a free, privately owned referral service and is not the Social Security Administration or any government agency.

Categories of personal information we collect

In the past 12 months we may have collected: identifiers (name, email, phone, ZIP, IP address); commercial/claim information (the eligibility details you choose to provide); internet/network activity (browsing and ad-interaction data); approximate geolocation (from ZIP/IP); audio/electronic information (call metadata and, where permitted, recordings); and inferences (e.g., likely eligibility interest). To the extent any health-related information you choose to share is treated as sensitive personal information, we use it only to provide the Service you requested and do not use it to infer characteristics.

Purposes; disclosure; sale/sharing

We use these categories to operate the Service, connect you with disability representatives, contact you, prevent fraud, measure advertising, and comply with law (see the Privacy Policy). We disclose them to disability representatives (attorneys and advocates), lead-distribution platforms, advertising/marketing partners, analytics and verification vendors, and our service providers. Some disclosures of identifiers, commercial/claim information, internet activity, geolocation, and inferences may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Your California rights

You have the right to: know/access the personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; delete it; correct it; opt out of the sale or sharing of it; limit the use of sensitive personal information (where applicable); and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

How to exercise your rights

Submit a request on our Do Not Sell or Share page or email [email protected]. We will verify your request using information you provide. You may use an authorized agent. Where required, we honor a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing for that browser and device.
